Frequently Asked Questions

You Have Questions, We Have Answers!

Does OMPH School offer tuition assistance?

Yes!  Financial assistance is available to qualifying families through the School Support Scholarship Program, the Blue Jay Scholarship Fund, the Diocese of Harrisburg Neumann Scholarship Foundation, and the George and Mary Kremer Foundation.  Tuition assistance forms must be submitted in early March, and can be picked up in the OMPH School Office.

Will my School District bus to OMPH School?

Yes! OMPH School offers convenient busing from 8 neighboring school districts! Our students reside not only in the Ephrata SD, but also ELANCO, CV, Pequea, Manheim, Warwick, and others. Because of our close proximity to New Holland, Lititz, Leola, Narvon, and other towns, these neighboring districts provide busing to and from OMPH School.

Does OMPH School participate in the PSSA testing?

No, our instruction is not tied to teaching for the PSSA testing. OMPH teachers are interested in the individual child’s progress. Because academics are foremost at our school, progress monitoring is used to ensure children’s success in learning.

Are students at OMPH School required to wear uniforms?

Yes! Mornings are much easier when parents can skip the “what to wear to school” conversation! The school uniform is standard dress at OMPH. Save the money you would spend on trendy school clothes; uniforms are available for FREE through our uniform exchange program!

Does OMPH School offer an on-site After-School Program?

Yes! We offer safe and fun after-school care in the OMPH school building at a very reasonable rate! Your child will work on homework, have a snack, and have supervised playtime without having to be transported off-site.

Does OMPH School accept non-Catholic students?

Yes! All are welcome at OMPH. Our non-Catholic students attend Mass weekly with their class, and participate in all faith experiences during the school year.

Does OMPH School hold any accreditations?

Yes! OMPH School is accredited by the Middle States Commissions on Elementary and Secondary Schools. We were the first school in the Lancaster Deanery to hold this prestigious accreditation!

Is support available for students needing extra assistance?

OMPH has an instructional support teacher for students needing assistance. We also have services provided through the Lancaster-Lebanon IU 13 including reading support, math support, speech services, and school counseling.
