A Note From the Principal

Who We Are

We are a Catholic school offering a faith-based education to children from Preschool-3 through Eighth Grade.  Located in the beautiful countryside of northern Lancaster County, we serve the families of OMPH Parish in Ephrata, as well as, St. James Parish in Lititz, and Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in New Holland.  Our parish is served by the Redemptorist Fathers who are actively involved and present within the school on a daily basis.

Living the Catholic faith is at the heart of each school day.  We begin each school day with school-wide prayer and gather weekly for a school Mass.   At OMPH School our children develop a connection with their spiritual life that is essential for building a strong and principled character.  Students are guided to develop the core values needed for living a successful and meaningful life.

Academics

OMPH School offers a strong academic program in a safe, caring and moral environment.  We are accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.  Our teachers are certified by the Pennsylvania Department of Education and hold catechetical certification from the Diocese of Harrisburg.  The faculty recognizes the importance of helping our children grow spiritually, intellectually, physically, emotionally and socially. Dedicated to teaching each child in their care, our teachers provide for differentiated instruction and integration of new technologies.

STEM education is integral to the curriculum as all students from Kindergarten through Grade 8 are engaged in the LabLearner™ program.  This research-based, comprehensive, hands-on science education system promotes interaction and experimentation in a laboratory setting, encouraging diverse learning and thinking strategies.  In addition to our core curriculum, our students have the opportunity to enjoy Spanish, music, art, computer, library, health and physical education classes each week.

Conclusion

As we partner with parents in the education of their children, we offer many opportunities for our parents to be involved in the school day and in special activities throughout the year.  We are truly blessed to have a loving school family at OMPH School.  We invite your family to join us at OMPH where your children can experience the benefits of a Catholic education.

May God’s blessings be with you and your family!
