Welcome to the OMPH School Development Office!
We are grateful to the alumni, parents, friends, and businesses who support our efforts.
Together we are working to secure the future financial security of our school.
What is "development" ?
“Development” is defined as ‘the meaningful involvement of people in your mission and vision for the future.’ We must plan for the financial future of our school so that we can continue to meet the changing needs of our students, faculty, and parents. Public relations and marketing of our school are also included as a vital part of development.
Why is the "development" process important in Catholic Schools?
Catholic schools can no longer rely on tuition, parish subsidies and fund-raisers to balance the budget, enhance programs and build for the future. However, at the same time Catholic schools need to remain competitive by keeping tuition affordable, providing up-to-date technology, qualified staff, comfortable and safe facilities, and the best resources.
What does the future hold for Catholic Education?
We envision a future in which Catholic Education is an option for every child. We envision a future in which Catholic schools remain affordable, in spite of rising expenses. We envision a future in which we continue to be blessed by extraordinary faculty members who are dedicated to high standards of education in a Christian environment. For generations to come, we envision a future in which Catholic schools are never threatened by financial uncertainties. Shouldn’t tomorrow’s children be given the same opportunity to receive a Catholic education as preceding generations?

Development Activities
Fundraising and “development” are not synonymous, although, fundraising is a component of development.
Activities are held throughout the year to raise money to be invested in an endowment fund for the future of our school
and to raise money for tuition assistance.
Annual Appeal
The Annual Appeal consists of the Appeal Letter and the Phonathon. Appeal Letters are mailed in the fall
after the start of school. The Pnonathon takes place during the first week of October where phone calls are made to the parents,
friends, and alumni of the school as well as the parishioners of the three supporting parishes.
Treasure Island
Auction
The Treasure Island Auction is held on the first weekend of November. This is a mix of various auction styles – live, silent,
and raffle. The variety of items grows every year. In past years we have had gourmet dinners, various
kinds of gift baskets, theatre tickets, restaurant gift certificates, and beach weekends.
This year the auction will be held on November 6, 2010.
Golf Tournament
The OMPH Annual Golf Tournament will be held on May 12, 2010, at the Honeybrook Golf Club.
The day starts with a light breakfast followed by the tournament and then concludes with lunch and prizes.
