Third Grade

      Third grade is an exciting year as we continue to grow in our faith and learn about the Holy Trinity.  We are responsible for the Christmas play, which is a wonderful way to prepare our hearts for the birth of Jesus.

      In Language Arts we strive to become independent, fluent readers. while working on various comprehensions skills .The writing process is implemented  in our classroom to help us with our writing assignments.. Book reports are assigned on a monthly basis and reading is required nightly.

      We “rap” with the facts beginning with a review of addition and subtraction and set our goals on mastery of multiplication and division.  Problem solving skills are modeled and put into practice in our classroom.

      Teamwork, respect for self and others is encouraged and classroom meetings are held to improve communication.
