Fourth Grade
Fourth grade is a year of new beginnings. It is filled with many new and exciting subjects and activities. Skills from the primary grades will be reinforced while others will be introduced. The students will be guided through them until they achieve the level of working independently. These include reading strategies, the writing process, problem solving, and study habits.
In Religion the students celebrate All Saint’s Day with a special presentation on November 1st. They will have formal instruction in Social Studies as they study Pennsylvania and then travel across the United States to learn about our country. Science class will open up a new world for them as they make discoveries through experimentation.
Along with the academics, there are also many extracurricular activities available in fourth grade. They have the opportunity to become altar servers, participate in the school choir, learn a musical instrument, and join the basketball team. The students learn to balance learning and having fun.
